Neck knives made and ready for sale, seven left

Ok, so I had these blades made up and ready, decided to finish off the handles and sheaths for them, just need to put a final polish on the blades and get them sharp, then they are ready to be shipped.

They are all made from my standard O1 tool steel, 3 mm thick, professionally heat treated, double tempered to Rockwell 58. There are all roughly 125 mm long with 50 mm blades, some are a tad longer, some a tad shorter, hey they are custom hand made, no dies or jigs used here!
I had eight after I made my orders, but I have decided to keep one for myself - they are very handy little things! And if someone is sitting on the fence, I could send out mine for you to try...

Anyway these little guys are all $75, that includes tracked shipping anywhere in NZ, if you live further abroad then shipping will be extra.

Now these are made to be hard use tools, they are not made to be pretty, whilst they are taken to 1200 grit, I have not bothered to take all the marks out of them, at this price point I could not afford to (I could make a pretty one if someone wanted one, but it would cost more), they will come sharp and ready to go though, they all come with a custom made fitted kydex sheath (colours are set as each sheath is made to the blade, if you want a different sheath then that will cost you an extra $25, but you will the have two sheaths!), they all come with paracord necklaces (note the paracord is probably too long so you may have to cut it down to size, also they paracord is very strong, if you get it caught around a branch whilst running through the bush, the string won't break...)
All of them also have my integrated paracord weave handles, this means that even when wet you should be able to get a good grip.
If you want to see these in action check out Clay Tallstories or The kiwi bushmans youtube videos.

    So what have I got:
Green g1o handles with green sheath - g10 scales are 1 mm thick, makes for extremely light and low profile package, being this thin the handles are not the most comfortable for prolonged use, but then these are not intended for prolonged use.

Orange g10 handles with orange sheath - g10 scales are 1 mm thick, makes for extremely light and low profile package, being this thin the handles are not the most comfortable for prolonged use, but then these are not intended for prolonged use.

Two with natural (red-brown) canvas micarta handles (these are the cream of the crop), the micarta is 3 mm thick, makes for a much more comfortable package, but a little bulkier and heavier - mine has this, and its very good stuff! Both come with black sheaths.

Three with American maple handles with either g10 liners or vulcanised rubber liner for the black one. Maple is very hard wood and taking it this thin and trying to fit it via the hollow pins was tricky, and the wood has developed some superficial cracks, these are basically cosmetic in nature as I have epoxied liners next to the blade and then epoxied the wood onto the liners, meaning that the blade is protected from moisture and the wood is not going anywhere. The wood handles are thicker than the micarta ones are are also the most comfortable, wood has a natural warmth that plastic will never have - but are also the heaviest.
One has orange g10 liners and an orange sheath.
One has green g10 liners and a green sheath.
One has black vulcanised rubber liners and a black sheath.

Happy to answer more questions or send you are more detailed picture if you are after a particular model.

I also do custom life and sheath work.

    cheers
