    need new boots

hey team, im in the market for some new boots, now i have no clue what the good or bad makes are so id like a bit of advice. i currently have gri sport mohakas, great boots, lasted about 3 years of hard abuse and now the treads getting well down and sole has come away on the right boot. now im looking at getting some that i will be able to add crampons to as i am planning on some serious winter hunting this year. iv seen a few cheaper brands in h&f but i never like shopping there and every brand i see on the internet is the best you can buy which doesent tell me if theyre any good so if you could shed some light on some other brands that would be up to the task let me hear it.

    thanks

Try on as many pairs as you can and get what fits YOUR foot best.

This. I'm quite partial to LaSportiva myself.

If you're planning to do tops/mountain stuff, go for a boot with a stiff sole (especially for crampons).

    Shearer nailed it.
I wear Lowa boots, but only as they fit so well for me.
Generally when spending a good amount of coin they are all good boots.

How about trying a firmer pair of gri's?

    Exactly my thought.

I got a pair of full grain leather Kathmandu 10 years ago that fitted me like a glove. I have just replaced them with some lowa, they start to feel and fit better now. Everybody s feet are differents.

Yep. Comfort and fit before brand and looks.
