Motorola Defy and Samsung Galaxy Xcover are both claimed waterproof and shock resistant, running Android.
I've got no experience of them as yet but they are talked about on the "other" forum.

My Brother Inlaw just got one of these and it seems pretty good. The Samsung Galaxy's get a good wrap.

Iphones are good, but definitely not the sort of phone that you want to take into the bush.

    What is your budget?

That makes heaps of sense....... who thought of that ???

I use my phone way more than my PDA.

So I could load "shooter" on to that ?

Yep, can get shooter for apple now and also ballistic fte. I use an iPod touch in a waterproof/crush proof case (pelican or otter box)
If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

I currently use my iphone, but loosing an ipod touch would make me cry far less.

But being able to check my emails 2000m up the macauley is quite useful!

If only a rino had shooter, and an anemometer, we'd be away

Well I can tell you what doesn't work - anything using windows mobile! I need a phone with it to run a farm app but can't get any ballistics program.

Get your daughter to help you Greg. She'll be an ace with the Ipod. She can probably teach you how to use it too.
