    NZ Camo Gear

I need to get something off my chest and my missus has had just about enough of my little rants so im posting one of them here!

With Companies like Ridgeline, Stoney Creek and Swazi who are proudly 'Kiwi owned' making hunting apparel for 'Kiwi hunters' hunting in 'Kiwi bush'.
Why is there camoflauge imagery of non native bush?
They are always of deciduous forest or something, Ridgelines is called 'buffalo camo', find me a buffalo in NZ bush for christs sake!

H&f and Huntech both have/had camo patterns in native bush, Huntech had a number of them for you to choose from.
So surely it can't be too hard to source/make camoflauge representative of NZ's native environment.
Am i wrong in thinking that with the price of some of these topshelf garments ($500+!!), its not too much to ask to expect a native camoflauge imagery to go with it?

    Thoughts?

There is a business opportunity there for you to make some RR. I agree that Mossy Oak and Woodlands camo patterns aren't ideal and that the native pattern used by H&F looks better suited to the New Zealand bush but in the end it all disrupts straight lines and causes a non moving person to better blend with the background bush. Unless you overcome the white face and hands issue while walking you are still going to be like a flashing beacon no matter what you are wearing.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

I havnt seen an off the shelf cammo that i like yet. It all seems to bright. I go to the surplus shops or army mates and get either brit DPM or the kiwi stuff. Matches our environment very well and is a dingy drab colour.
I tried multicam but sit it next to the NZ DPM and our gear comes out on top everytime.

I find it works good in the bush and excellent in scrubby, tussocky or dry grass environments
