Pretty sure I've seen a copy of this either in a Rex Forester book or posted on the 'other' Kiwi hubting forum

Way it was worded, sounded like a half-joke!

Is it just me, or is the pouch in photo #4 labelled upside down?

@Tararua99 According to Barry Gracia's book The Colonial Ammunition Company Ltd, the Alpine Helicopter contract was in 1977.
CAC just dropped off the 2 Cs and left an A off their normal brass for the headstamp. Easy.

I have donated most of my NZFS stuff to a mate in Taupo who has established a museum for it, open to any visitors...consider adding some of your memorabilia to that, when you no longer want to hang on to it.

And would also be keen to see what everyone else collects and is interested in cheers!

First pic is a CAC .308 round that was made for alpine helicopters culling operations.
PM me, have some stuff you may be interested in.

Speaking of which, picked up one of these the other day. Does anyone know what calibre? Looks like a 303 round, larger than 7mm08.

It's not a no 5 it's a custom, the stock shows cutouts for lobbing sights and the receiver is no 1 profile.
I've seen a few sporterised with those aperture rears.

.303 manufactured in 1943 by Defence Industries (DI), Canada. "Z" indicates that the powder used was nitro cellulose based rather than cordite.

I have a NZFS vehicle sign from a land rover, the circle one that was attached to the front guard.
