    Red led recommendations

I'm wanting a smaller headlight with a red led for night vision.
    Prefer rechargeable and good quality.

Recommendations or ones to avoid please ?

I've not seen one in a headlight other than energizer ones. I use an underbarrel red LED on my 22 for spooky rabbits.

Yes it looks like black diamond does a few but all AAAs and i would prefer rechargeable without unloading the batteries to recharge

    That's pretty funny.
I have an MH10 and its a great headlight.
I dug out the box and yes there is a rwd and green filter in there.
Clipped on the red one to try out.
Works ok but you have to use in the highest setting to get enough light.
    But good result.
Good thing i hadn't thrown away the box !

I've heard that some militaries are changing to blue light as it's better than red for retaining NV

    Blonde.... Or 'oldtimers'

Those brown squiggly lines seem to disappear under a red light, that I do know from discovering a rather steep decent in the dark when expecting flatland

The mh10 is just ok with the red filter.
It's only just bright enough on max output for walking safely.
I need to take it off every time i need to pluck a possum.
Would prefer a decent headlight with a red and white light combined and usb rechargeable.
