I have 9 empty 100 gm jetboil canisters free to anyone handy in CHCH who has one of these refill gizmos and wants them.
Would quite like one or two of them back refilled just to see how well it all works and if its worth doing the same myself.
Smash through quite a few of these every year and used to buy in bulk but the price has been steadily sneaking up.

I'll swap you an adapter for a few empty canisters.

Do you need to weigh them or do they all have the same pressure?

It is best to weigh them but you can just fill them up and then screw on a burner and turn it on till it stops spitting liquid(unlit)

Hi all, the last post on the above refill units was a while back now. How is everybody finding them. Are they still working well or have additional issues besides the thread alteration surfaced? Is one brand better than another, and what's the unit most people went for? Thanks

I haven't been in NZ in ages, any chance one of your good bugger could let me know what thread the LPG cylinders are? Would option 3 on here work?

I bought one of those with the green seal on the end, the thread was crap and wouldn't fit some bottles, cleaned the thread with a fine file and it improved but still wouldn't seal on several bottles. I fitted a different seal from the BBQ regulator and it was better but not great.
I then bought one of these

caveat emptor, Just my experience with them. I have had a few duds from Aliexpress so hopefully you get a good one. I am currently trying to get them to process a refund on an order that is over two months late. :-(

Thanks, I'll go let my wife know the bad news.
