Thread: Rural Butcher Knife Sharpening Kits

Ruixin pro RX-009 sharpener from Ali express with stones arrived about a week ago.

For $100 I am VERY pleased. Was able to take a number of dull, chipped and even some sharp ish knives and get mirror like polished bevels/edges and razor like cutting edges very consistently in under 20 minutes.

Played with a single standard stone which disappointed me a little as it seemed to disintegrate in my fingers before even getting onto the knife, but the diamond stones impressed me. The low grit ones are able to take off any extra metal quite quickly while the 800-1500 grit stones refine very well and the 3000/5000 grit polishing stones do exactly that.

So far I’ve found it’s a good kit that’s easy enough to setup and get consistent results with.
