    Share you tricks and tips.........

Hi everyone, with the vast wealth of experience on this forum, I thought it would be a good idea to share those little tricks that make a better trip......

I'll start it off with this one I learnt on my mountaineering course........wrap duct tape around your water bottles, walking sticks, tent poles ect......

    I've got a few
1 Always take 2kg off what you think her weight is and two years off what you think her age is
2 If she has a friend that you find annoying, just casually say that you think she is pretty and you won't ever see her again
3 If you are trying to move in, never bag the ex-boyfriend. Unless he is a total Donald this will lead her to take his side

Thanks guys for clearing that up, I thought maybe he had a hole in his drink bottles and his walking poles were broken so he wrapped some tape around then to hold them together.

my tip, I always make sure I have a meter or so of paracord in my pocket, good for lots of things, like spare bootlace in a pinch, also used for tying feet together on a hog to backpack out.
I'm sure there are many other uses for it too

lay out all your gear you think you will need...look at it again...put away what you dont need . a hot cuppa tea in middle of day when you start to get tired does wonders for your fatigue and concentration.
