single 18650 powered scope mounted torch?

My current one (deerelight DBS) is 10 years old now and starting to play up wondering what a good replacement would be not crazy expensive (say 100 or less) good throw and spot could have remote switch, not a biggie, prefer something without too many options on the switch side of things. There's a crazy-big selection on Aliexpress What would you suggest?

Convoy C8 probably my favourite single 18650, just great lights all around. Think mine was an XM-L2 chip.

I have an olight javelot. Can run it with one or two 18650's. Really rate it.

Best thing to do is have a look at my hunting guide

Sure, you can get something from AliExpress, but that'll come with a risk of receiving something faulty and being mucked around, also warranties are usually non existent after the buyer protection runs out.

The C8+ models would be what you're after, or maybe even the L21B. Remote switch will be available soon for the L21B

Nitecore P30, excellent little torch with plenty of grunt. Well built and easily illuminates everything from possums to deer.

I am using the older version of the Nightcore P30. Sold all my double battery torches, including Maxtorch, once I started used these.

I did a posting a couple months back on how I currently run my lighting - https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....e-setup-68885/

Tbh my Convoy models would beat all these options at a fraction of the price, plus I offer upgrades when new LEDs become available, with Nitecore etc you're stuck with proprietary components.

As a Nitecore dealer I'm not impressed when put up against the Convoy models. Nitecore is great for the 5 year warranty, but performance/price ratio is a bit steep imho.

You can buy directly from AliExpress, I'm not trying to get a sale, that's never my aim, but if you want local warranty and available upgrades, I'm an option.

Btw, the Convoy L21B was designed at my request and it's incredible for the price, nothing out there can beat it on price/performance
