    Socks with padded toe

I'm just back from overseas and am gradually buying all the gear I sold before going away 7 years ago.
I've just bought a pair of Kathmandu Tiber NGX Walking Boots. Only warn them twice, but they feel good. Good ankle support, non slip, and dry feet.
The only problem is, these boots have a hard "rubber" toe cap (and heel), kind of like a steel capped boot, and are pinching my toes a bit.
I think I've got room for a sock with more padding around the toes, what brands/models have that feature which you might recommend?

I would suggest a padded toe increases the thickness of the sock and the other point is usually both ends are padded (toe and heel) compounding the problem for you. Are you sure that you don't need a bigger boot size say 1/2 a size up?

The other option if the depth of the boot's foot area is on the high side, leading to your foot sliding around in the boot and your toes colliding with the toe box is a thicker or more padded insole.

Depending on how the boots wear in, they might stretch a bit though allowing you to go to a thicker sock. Generally that isn't what happens for me though?

Gidday No.3 Yeah, I get what you are saying about padding = space. I think there is room for more sock but haven't warn them enough yet to know. What I do know is, when going down hill my toes move forward and impact on the back of the hard toe cover. Not a lotof give there. Early day yet, perhaps when they get a little less stiff.

$60 from farmlands, so far so good. I usually get very bad blisters but these are working so far.
