Hey. I'm looking at getting a UL camp chair as I'm now old (officially, my daughter's have told me) and I'm running with it.
Looking at the Helios Zero or similar. I'll still carry it so it needs to be our and fit in a pack. Any suggestions or recommendations?
go cheap and replace - you may get two years or four or one they all break at least if you only pay $40 and it lasts two years great but pay $150 it may only last two years ( ask me why ) I have yet to see one I would call robust

Yes was meant to write Helinox. The high back appears to add little weight and can be bought locally so was looking to run with that. It will likely be "work furniture" so easy to fundQuote:

I have the Helinox chair one xl and it’s great except the legs sunk into soft ground, I’ve bought some “frogs feet” for it but haven’t used it with them yet. If you’re a little smaller than me then zero high back is great @Puffin.
I am pretty sure I have a similar one to the Pic above. I can post pics after football tomorrow. I was given it so I can give it away or trade for folding or fixed blade knife for my youngest son.
Macpac have them on sale about 85 atm. Great chairs, comfy as
I've done a few trips where I've sat in the dirt for a few days at a time. A chair with a backrest would have been really nice. Do I want to add yet more crap to my pack? Not sure.
I would test drive the Helinox Chair Zero and the Zero high-back if at all possible James. I have both, and they suit me for size, and given this, they may perhaps then not suit you? I also have the Big Agnes Skyline UL and it is a little larger than these other two, but still not a chair for bigger guys. What I can say is that one of these chairs now goes with me almost everywhere, only being dropped if I plan a trip where I'm certain of being on my feet all day, which at my age is never really.

Have a couple of Big Agnes UL chairs, very robust. I’m 100 clicks and no signs of falling apart after 4 years. Would defiantly buy again.
Not quite the same as I remembered. Maybe not as light as you want.

I didn’t do a great deal of research when I bought my camp stool, the Te Aro, saw it at a H and F store picked it up and was amazed at how light it felt compared to others and thought that would do me. It comes in at 1kg which isn’t ultralight by any means but I like it so much that I thought it deserved a mention. Has durable looking material instead of mesh and was circa $100-$120 from memory.

If you are looking at a Helinox, check them out at Bivouac. I'm not a big dude, but there was a noticeable difference in "aaahhhhh" between the Chair Zero, Highback and Chair One.
@mopheadrob I just checked an it's unbranded. Really comfy. Frame looks similar to these https://www.marine-deals.co.nz/campi...8aArz7EALw_wcB
but it's obviously not as it's weight including it's zip bag is 520gms.
Long term I think the alloy tubes plugging direct into larger centre beam tube has got to be stronger than the Helinox nylon joiners

This is a slightly different approach to the light weight chair. In this case a light weight 'stool'. Weight is about 650grams. Made of steel wire and fabric. Cost, second hand, was about $3.50. I've been using this one for a few years. It is comfortable for a few hours, as long as you don't mind sitting about 6 inches off the ground. Attachment 274656Attachment 274657
