Thread: Uncompahgre Foundry Jacket

Anyone rocking one of these? Looking at one as a bit of a do it all jacket for longer missions in the mountains with an eye to next March-April. Warm and waterproof being appealing in the one jacket. Curious if anyone has one and what their likes and dislikes are but also the fit. How durable they are and noisy in the scrub but also what sizing is like. I’m 6 foot and 97kg (not muscular 97kg I might add) so normally right on the cusp of L-XL. Cheers in advance if anyone has one and can share their thoughts.

I had the Uncompahgre puffer jacket and the Kiln merino hoodie. Both were "large for size", not exactly an athletic cut... Merika. I would use neither off a track. Using these in the Kaweka tops, I actually got cold. Felt like they were heavy and didn't perform well. Sold both. Brother in law had the Foundry - didn't like its performance. What I've learnt after investing in some high end puffers is to be honest, the Macpac stuff is perfectly fine for what I do.
