Hey team, has anyone used a knife like the esee Izula with no handle scales for field dressing? Wondering whether a lack of grip might be problematic or dangerous? Cheers

some of them have jimping which would help with grip, I have also seen them with para-cord wrapped around the handles which would help too, you could also use the para-cord in case of an emergency.
Yeah was thinking that but the paracord would get grooooosss
Grippy shrink tube?
@gimp did one with paracord. He might comment.
I'll give paracord a go cheers. Otherwise I have some honduran mahogany and a dremel!
so you buy a knife without scales..cause you want knife without scales...then think of 101 ways to add scales.... and we wonder why the aliens havent made contact yet LOL.
workmate got sick of his ballpien hammer slipping out of his grip so put great big blob(half a tube) of MS1 onto handle, put thin rubber glove/nitrate glove on and worked it around to be perfect fit with finger grooves.waited till it set and removed hand......
it sure is custom hammer..no plurry good for fella with bigger or smaller hands though lol.
so wear thin rubber glove.....LOL
File in some jumping around the whole grip area. Sorted
I’ve only ever used a Mercator in the bush, if it’s sharp you’re less likely to slide onto the blade. I guess I’ve grown up using tools carefully.
Yeah should be fine. I managed to score a White River Backpacker for $90. Will give it a run with no scales
