At least I know I wouldn't get shot... Or maybe I would as I'd look like some sort of being from another planet
Whats with the packhorse on the back is that so little asian child doesn't get wet?

bahaha hmm not quite what i had in mind
So far happy with my Jahti Jakt suit
Jacket very comfortable but I do sweat a tad in it, hard to get perfect balance between rain getting in and sweat getting out.
Trousers not used much as a shorts man - but again comfortable camp or 4wheeler pants
BUT – the company gone belly up – but there is still some items in stores
Interested in peoples experiences of various rain shells performance when carrying packs? Wore my Marmot rain jacket (some type of 2 layer fabric) for a 3 hour stroll in light rain, and found that at the pressure points the inner 'waterproof' membrane was rubbing/peeling off! Probably not the recommended use for that coat, but got me thinking about jackets that can handle a bit of that.

Try one of these good price on sale
When mountain designs were running here I bought one of their storm repel coats. Seems only the Aussies and us care for long coats that will cover down to thigh / knee length. Its been absolutely brilliant had it for 5 years or more, water still beads off, and I still dont get wet in it.
Men
This would be its equivalent today
Just picked up one of these on clearance, seems like a good deal as you effectively get 2 jackets, warm as a furnace but yet to try out in the rain though.

Has anyone got a Bush buck Defender jacket?
So I see gin city is now stocking Manitoba? And Manitoba is using a licenced version of TechL-Wood (camo company) camo pattern "specifically designed" for New Zealand environments.
It looks nice and the price is good for a jacket/pants combo, But has anyone handled these or better yet worn/abused them?

I know this is old but I needed a set of gloves hunting the remarks and got a set from Manitoba. Had three buy the end of the day due to the right gloves separating at the stitching. The left did the same the following day. Left the next day as couldn't glass at all it was so cold...

Expensive (NZ pricing is better than suggested with VAT off). Damn fine looking gear though.
