2013 Waikato Rumours + Tall Tales. Where do they come from ?? How many can we list?

    1. Have heard so far quite a few weeks back that we were to be burdened by an even shorter season then last year.
Being a case of life or death made an enquiry on Hamilton and was told no too early for that (as suspected) we will do our counts much later on then discuss it...
I said that cool can you sort it out so I dont get so much sun burn on opening day as well...

    2. Have been told today that theres talk of banning mechanical battery powered decoys, pinning guns to three shots, only allowed to feed for x number of weeks prior to the season ...
Asked the guy if he could ask the people who said that if they could tell me next weekends lotto numbers but guess waht .. Bugger said they couldn't

Bloody ducks Happy. There is a family of stealthy ninja Parries that come to the house each night and shit all around the pool.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Sure there's actually some substance to that stuff, recently councillors Cocks, Sherrard and Madsen pushed this through at a Ward 3 meeting. Same guys who don't support duck research at all, but will give you all the answers all the same. You could vote for them and watch the self fulfilling prophecy come true... or just vote for commonsense. (we should keep this forum free of politics, I like it here for that reason).

It baffles me that they all spend hours mass debating slight changes to hunting regulations to slightly lower the number of ducks shot.

When what they should be arguing about is the best way to put more ducks into the sky so we can all shoot more ducks out of a healthy and growing wild population.

Have you moved in here Massive?
Akl/Wai is no longer the duck factory it used to be and council needs to adapt to that, its quite simple to me the more people you have living in an area the less natural duck habitat you have, theres a big urban spread in this area thats putting alot of habitat out of FnGs control
all these threats of lower limits and regulated decoy spreads and pinned guns are REAL!! as snuffit said it won't solve the prob at all but might delay its affects for a few more years , not eaxacly an answer to the problem.
If your enrolled to vote do so and use it well, we need a change!
Ps I hate all political bullshit too but if we the hunters dont give a shit who will?

This Quote has been taken from another Forum and is from Guy Ralph AWFG councillor 15 Dec

For the record 2013 season regulations are
mallards and Grey ducks 4 weeks 10 bird limit
There will be a restriction to 3 shots for this season
the exemption that allows baiting of waterfowl will not be applied for. So no feeding of areas you shoot on 30 days prior or during the season.
If there is a need to disperse Paradise Ducks in the King Country it will be a Junior only special season.

Thats very harsh cutting the season that much ,think they need to cut the license fee accordingly .

When I was local delegate to council 1 Saturday a month I got to sit threw 3-4 hours of listening to a bunch of idiots waffle on about nothing & achieve nothing positive .Month after month the same BS in the end I got totally pissed off with it & gave up.It would appear nothing has changed or is likely to any time soon.

Their is a bloke that has a serious personal agenda of banning lead in sub gauges, just voted onto the national F & G council.
It is going to get far worse with these idiots implementing personal beliefs, and I believe your money spent on 20, 16, 28g guns will be wasted if you have to fire steel atv waterfoul, making them less effective over certain types of shooting.

These types of people are stuck in their own little world and how they do things, and think everyone else should be the same.
Yet somehow they always get into a position of influence and fuck everything up. It would ruin the sport for me, as to how I enjoy and go about it, if they ban lead in sub gauges, period.
