    Avon River CHCH

Any of you shakey city boys pick up the lastest mid week rag(CHCHMAIL) today and read the headlines. the local medical officer of health alister humphrey is concerned about pollution in the avon and suggests "culling the ducks"
"the ducks calling the waterways home are not native and their pollution levels are high"

"Dr Humphrey said the non native duck population may need to be culled in order to cleran up rivers and make way for native species" whaaaat native species wont drop as much s..t???

apparently dog faeces are equally to blame -do we cull non native kuris as well.

there is a humungous mob of canadas in the lower reaches ,hmmmmwill the CCC let me &trusty escort loose for 10mins???

Ridiculous that they blame ducks and dogs when all of the broken sewer system issues (heavy metals, bacteria etc) has been a major contributor

Exactly Rushy but post earthquake all sorts of extreme ideations are floatin about this neck of the woods. Unfortunately the same cant be said for a decent dose of good old homegrown commonsense.
