    Bilge pumps

    Hi All,
I can recall somebody once talking about using bilge pumps amongst decoys to cause more pond ripples and water disturbance. Does anyone here know what is involved and how to make them?

    Thanks

    Al

Piss easy mate, google bilge pump decoys and you'll get a truck load of results/info. Made a few a couple of years back and they work a treat, hardest thing was finding the butt feeder decoys to attatch the pump too.

Why those decoys? or is it because the swimming ones wouldnt hold the weight?

I'm sure the swimming decoy works but the butt feeder bobs around and adds a little something else to my spread. I get heaps more ripples/movement then the quiver magnets.

Gun Shitty sell the duck butt feeder decoys individually.

No the butts are the size of a magnum decoy. I agree on the small floaters though, don't touch them with a barge pole.
