Mine are set up on the side of the pond I want them coming into.

I have a group spread in front of the mai mai and a couple of pair set randomly.

Also have four or five with hooks that swim around at random when the eels take the bait.:D
I don't know much about the right "spreads", but when setting my deeks out I try to make the spread look as natural as possible. I've had more luck with less deeks than more. And movement on the water is key, especially on a calm day with wary birds.

I'm no expert but I try not to over think it . But my main points are to place deeks if facing wind behind me and just out to side so ducks have to come past me , and not look down my barrel as to make them flare .
And if I get it wrong or wind change I move or move my spread .
looking at your spread the full body ones i put on poles out in the pond .they move great and think are better for flying ducks to see
