They could of put two drones up so the duckshooter got a double rise!

might have to add drones to the duck license
may be sarcastic may be a bad joke
I would imagine the worst thing that could happen to the shooter is they get taken to small claims court for the damage of the property and ordered to pay for the cost of the drone.
If the pilot was flying it illegally, he may face charges too.
Seems these animal rights activists get away with alot of this behavior, trespassing onto farms and all sorts, they don't care about the law.
There was a story last year of a drone flying over some farmhouse and the farmer shot it down, not sure what come out of that.
Imagine the headlines. Cold blooded firearms owner slaughters defenceless drone
There really needs to be an addition too the wildlife act along the lines of interfering with Hunters and or their bag/ Preventing the retrieval of or dispatch of wounded birds etc.
And on the subject of drones, laws needed to deal with them in general as they are becoming a nuisance.
Unsophisticated... AF!
I'm imagining that providing sufficient evidence in a court of law that proves beyond reasonable doubt that; "That person with that gun shot down that drone at that time" when the person complaining only heard a shot or two, would be difficult without video evidence.
And knowing the maximum effective range of steel shot, he was playing with fire flying that close to people full stop. But I guess he already knew that...
drone what drone - didnt see no drone-- what that bird look like
Further top my last re the drone mishap(nice polite non binary term eh what).Ive spoken to my brother in law who as a keen photographer and drone pilot has done both extensively around ellesmere .
Drone no fly zones= .birdlings flat east end of the spit is sole one for ellesmere as theres an established airstrip in the area and a US firm is conducting aeronautical activity in that area .
in his opinion any real chance of drone recovery is virtually zero firstly probably due to damage inflicted by steel shot and secondly as ive stated the corrosive effects of ellesmere sludge and avian sewage on such delicate electronics!
He is also left pondering what exactly were the intentions of one who seeks to fly a drone in the vicinity of shooters operating firearms and feels the CAA may haver something to say on such irresponsible behaviour????do drones come under piloted aircraft?
If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle
Wonder if there was a Ukrainian duckshooter in the hunting party .... ?
There was a case in a rural part of Canterbury last year (I think) where a drone was hovering over a mother and daughter sunbathing in their backyard, so husband took the drone out with a 12 gauge. Drone operator took it to court, magistrate dismissed the case as the firearms owner had considered his firing zone, was justified in his action, nothing to see here, move on.
