Just need your own drone with some netting hanging under it and drop down on top of the other drone and tangle it up

Correct. They have laws against hunter harassment. There’s quite a few YouTube vids on it.

Not sure I'd be saying I accidently shot it down. Smart lawyer might say you didn't identify your target or check your shooting area. I say "might" , but the possibility is there. I would be saying something along the lines that I thought it was possibly a criminal or gang related person/s doing recon on identifying people and their weapons for future theft. By shooting it down I'm protecting my identity and that I have firearms. Thus doing all practicable steps as required by my insurance company and the holder of a firearms license to protect my firearms etc form theft.

Is there a daily limit on drones? Maybe a minimum should be brought in?

RPAS operators needs a CAA part 102 permission to fly over anyone without their permission. It sounds like the alleged incident took place over DoC land, so the pilot would also have needed a permit, which would have had a string of conditions, including not disturbing wildlife, not flying near other people, etc. I'd really like to see this incident properly investigated by CAA. Also, shotguns are notoriously difficult to tie to a crime scene from ballistic evidence, and good luck finding the alleged shell case and wad from the round that did the alleged damage to the alleged drone.

I have a feeling that F&G laws preclude chasing or disturbing chasing wildfowl from motlrised boat- vehicle.

Regardless of the legal situation-Dorkus McDrone and his interfering mates had a day best described as own goal .hes lost a calimed $2.5kdrone ,and one would suspecxt if its insured the insurance company wont be quick in sending the cheque.
Dorkus of course is noted as previously displying antisocail traits with his drones etc and id not be suprised in the least if this doesnt fact impact on the final police decision.
repaet the protests this w/e -youd be bloody brave a most shooters would laugh you off the lake.Mr plod doesnt like to have to deploy either to monitor idiotic tactics ,they have enought to do.
