Went for a wander down river, but ducks encountered were not in the right place to shoot. I shot them without pulling trigger......up, follow through, say bang, feeling confident with each one. No dog, dirty high flowing river and no way of safely retrieving them meant they lived another day. Next few days will change that when flows drop some more

Fantastic opening morning conditions Saturday in Southland at our pond. Blustery and grey, but not really wet till about 10.30.

Great opening.

But Sunday was the complete opposite
