Yes, don't overlook the lanyard. Mine is a fancy thing, basically some rubbishy used twine tied in a big loop with the ends tied to a couple of callers. Very flash.
Sorry @EeeBees!
It is not how you yell but rather what you yell that is important Gibo. For example "Dinner" and "Waikato" even at a barely audible level will evoke much more action from me than "Prick" or "Arsehole" at the top of your voice. After much analysis I have concluded that it is all about the presence or not of the "really don't give a fuck" factor.
Massive reccomends goose noose lanyards
Goose Noose Lanyards Duck Call Lanyards & Goose Call Lanyards
wouldn't have one on my arse for a pimple
ecallers are for part timers with no patience to learn or even try to learn the basics[ shooters not hunters.]
natural or stained woods a colour to as is clear apparently.
haven't tried buck garders goose calls but on his vids I reckon they sound squeaky.
I have a hammond rip duck call and love it but I'm currently a poor uni student that has spent to much money on duck shooting gear this season so I can't really justify spending the money on a hammond flute or goose call? What other good wooden goose calls are out there?
not many to be honest .
I started with a Hammond goose flute loved it but after a mate started making short reed calls went to those.
tried to go back but found after many years smoking didn't have the puff for it.
the power clucker seems to be just as versatile as any short reed and the beauty of goose hunting now is its year round even if a bloody sight more difficult.
don't sweat the small stuff unless your going comp mad find one call that works for you and perfect what you can on it.
hail cluck double cluck works alright for me usually.
This is my parrie caller
