    Goose problem

Hi there, not sure where to post so will just post here. I realize they are a pest and not a game bird.

I think I found the next place we can have a forum hunt, just need to find a landowner w/ a few acres or sort out permits from council and culling license for public areas from DOC. Are they likely to fast track an application so we can shoot these ASAP?

There was another article about it in the horowhenua paper today, apparently it is quite a problem. Anyway I thought we could find a legal way to shoot these birds and do a favor for the good residents of the Kapiti Coast.

They're bastards of things .. i hit one once on finals onto Grass34 at Paraparaumu in the Pawnee .. the airport owners of the time used to knock them out with soporiphic wheat and then break their necks.

iwas told by a young cockie out at ellesmere that when canadas /ferals nested on their paddocks a quad &.223 provided permanent contraception .ride over the nest and bang problem solved.shit 3 of us took 15 birds nesting in one trip -dogs got half the dopey pricks.
christchurch city council is about to have a big problem in the westlake subdivision at halswell if they dont deal to 30+canadas &an equal number of feral bastards gettin established there,Im told by a resident some male ferals got shifted recently.the bastards had been actively terrorising dogs mothers with prams &young kids.only cure for that behaviour is a well delivered steel /lead pellet or slug.
ive just got a .223 so am keen to pit myself against herr honker! i love those 12g battles, but a little long range delivery is tempting.
