hows the summer season looking

plenty of good grain not far off and some nice big pea paddocks about :D
rains just arrived for my cockies who dont irrigate hopefuly its gonna be enough, one reckoned he needs 50 mills yesterday.
quite a few ducks flitting about but given nth canterbury may harvest first i hope they dont stay up there to long:oh noes:
pidgeons and geese should give plenty of practise before the 2 csi duck and parrie weekends

2 weeks to pea harvest:thumbsup:

Barley crops got sparrows but the ducks haven't found them yet as all the paddocks are brown.:(

buggerall here kotuku but the harvest is starting better get on the gosee and pidgeon spy net

many grain paddocks done or nearly ready to be done my main pea paddocks just about got the bales off :yaeh am not durnk:
less than 2 weeks now to the first summer season mallard and parry weekend but geese should be there in the next few days.
by the by when harvesting his pea paddock right on the rakaia methven road farmer was surprised to find a dead deer :ORLY:

nothing major just enough rain to have the crop farmers grinding thier teeth as they struggle with part harvested crops and all over the p[lace moisture readings in the grain. ducks and parries to the south and north but few about here at the mo not a sign of geese yet tho they could be feeding on the moon:ouch...it hurts:but no sign on the paddocks:pissed off:

Quail numbers are looking pretty good here...nice to see the odd family group with well grown chicks who have managed to survive all that is against them!! Have seen some big flights of pigeons...

Mates farm is getting harvested tomorrow so will cruise out there for a looksie,bugger all around here.

PT got one last night, mate failed too ring so I went fishing with rod and shotty and only harmed a trout. Never saw any parries in my travels.
