can anyone give me some advise on areas to try near ngatea. I have the spot x game bird hunting book and has a few spots on the waihou river margins that they recomend trying. has anyone been in in these areas before and is it worth a try.

Get yourself a DoC permit and get into it. Plenty of areas within easy driving distance of Ngatea that hold pheasants if you're prepared to walk for them.
Barberry hedge rows & heavy-ish cover in this weather.Rough area's along creek & river banks ,patches of willow & ink weed ,loopin or clover are favored foods.Should be a few out n about when this rain stops.Find a good area of ink weed & insert dog .
