Walker and I had a real quiet opening morning, not a single duck on the pond and just a few shots at passing parries for one shelduck the hawk is enjoying.

At least you're doing better than the 3, so far, munters who have shot themselves this morning.
Well my tally is 100% better than last year; one lovely mallard this morning. Sounded like the battle of the Somme on the farms around me so someone's doing even better than me lol
Our issue is the proximity to the coast and flat sea conditions. Driving back all the mangrove estuaries were full of ducks.
Plenty of ducks out past 5 miles :D
No wind, and nice sky, ducks flying high. Still managed to get 2 perries, and 4 ducks with my mate . Unbelievable how warm it was, mosquitos were flying around us!! ( south of Ham)
Funny looking parrie.

Was 20something degrees and very little cloud etc in Nth Otago today,
Not many shots around me. Managed 7 and called it a day.
Didnt hear a single shot here... Drought is kicking in
I shot one parry so far. Rather quiet here.
Seen a few flyin up high.
I have Walker missing a mob of paddock parries on video.
Quiet alright, even the Wirehair got sick of waiting for the action.

only 4 goats for me this morning :) no ducks were harmed in the process either
Do we get to see it?
With this lack of action on the ducks, I 'spose the poor old Pukes are going to get hammered.
