    Rotorua upland game

South on SH5 has plenty of shooting. Waiotapu was good many years ago for me and the old man buggered if I'd know of where to shoot there now though. Mostly pheasant. Out to Tokoroa too has good wing shooting in and around the pines (pretty controlled I understand though).
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Lots around Rotorua when the forestry is open... not sure what the deal is now but it used to be easy to get permits and there were some hot spots for phesants

Duck numbers seamed pretty good where I have beenbut thats closer to Wakatane than Rotorua

More deer to hunt as well... fresh water fish not to far to salt.. between Rotorua and Wakatane is a spot I would live
Fishing ... Hunting its all good

EL B you would stand out like dogs balls in Rotovegas. I don't think they make tweed PJ's either

Maybe so, but you would be well equiped with all that Tweed, after all it was made for a climate like around here!!!!
Good luck no matter where you end up!
