About LinkBacksSouth on SH5 has plenty of shooting. Waiotapu was good many years ago for me and the old man buggered if I'd know of where to shoot there now though. Mostly pheasant. Out to Tokoroa too has good wing shooting in and around the pines (pretty controlled I understand though).
