they at the lake nowthe harvests in full swing and there some bloody water in it.
one poor old Canada was unliucky enough to get in the patterns of us yesterday.
parries not decoying well yet and a few misses were recorded

the lakes dropped drasticly again hence the moonscape look
we managed to convince 6 geese into shooting range but actually they were prpobably a little cleverer than us.
by coming one side of the maimaI I could only shoot at one bird.
which I dutifily missed then couldn't re aquire due to mates melon being a bit close.
one pary did get unlucky and a 8 foot lead going left to right at 3 feet off the ground got her head shot

well gents the lake yesterday was a very different picture from the previous post because we didn't bring waders the maimai that shot was taken from was inaccesable.
a big southerly came up and ducks of every persuasion except paradise were driven in front of it .
even the mighty Canada decided discreation was the better part of valour in the face of sleet pounding wind as cold.
they decamped their pozzies to tease us with fly bys but few opportunitys.
but two did end up ignominiously in the back of the truck as we departed soaked but happy.tho wondering 'where have all the parroies gone''

Good afternoon/evening shooting over a mates barley paddock, hundreds of geese seen though they were very fickle about decoying in.
All up 26 geese accounted for which is not bad for my first game bird hunt.
Of note there were a shit ton of parries and mallards around too.

honestly the shittest summer parries ever .
they werent where they usualy are and certainly not in the usual numbers either.
they may have to look at putting it back to latter start say feb 2nd or split the opening.
early in the cheviot hamner nth of the region and a latter feb start for the south south west of the region.
