    why i hate stubble paddocks

    becoming a habit aint it??
had over 300 geese on the wing last night there were 70 on the ground when i walked in, bugger.
ended up going it alone as noone could make it on short notice.
    right reasons 1]virtually no cover
2]with so much about the slightest thing puts the geese off and they go 2 paddocks away
3] dont use the straw in the paddock unless its only from the top of the pile?the stuff under/in the pile is yellower and sticks out like a dogs bollocks.
didnt shoot the big lots and took 2 out of a group of 4 so hopefuly tonight they,ve settled back in and we can figure a better plan for cover and decoyingmore to come hopefuly

Good skills with the camo job tonight
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

sit against a trough with a camo net over your legs and dont fire till the first one touches down.

and a good set of decoys helps too

funny as hell watching them look at the decoys and start to smell a rat

i have had some success approaching parries and squawker birds up wind so they have to fly over you. if you can get within 60m or so then run out upwind of them they have to head toward you to get up and if it's a good breeze the don't go very fast
If i could have a full time job shooting pests i'm up for over time.

Geese have wicked eye sight, not sure about any where else but here if they spot you they know somethings up and it becomes very hard to get anywhere near them

unfotunatly run and gun aint an option
no troughs in these crop paddocks pits might be an option ?
main problem is i dint think we are the only ones having a go at them.we heard rifle shots scatre guna and some shotty action so theres no wonder they,re cagey as.
we had one little lot come in from the side late and picked off a couple of those.
we set up one way so they,d be coming into the wind ,so naturally the wind died completely and they landed behind us.
we swapped around and the next birds landed exactly where we switched from
oh well if it was easy everyone be doing it

mine the bloody paddock and get ready to catch anything remotely resembling an edible part of a goose or parrie.the flying rats though doubt if thered be anything left.PS good earmuffs &an understanding cockie may help too.
thelast option is to skina goose out and sew muzila in it then get him to flap round the paddock like a horny wee lassie to bring the young dumb&fulla cum ones in!

excuse my ignorance but humor me please.

If you had a reasonably ballisticly efficient round sub sonic and suppressed so all they would hear is the projectile hitting the dirt, shooting from a couple hundy away would you be able to pick a few off or would the whole lot Piss off at the first shot?

Would have to be a BIG goose skin to fit Muzila in

You would have to put your hands in places that hands shouldn't go
