You gotta do what you gotta do...

over the years the Beretta S686 Special has put on weight and after any big sortie has tended to leave the wonky shoulders worse for wear...so with great sadness and joy, the Beretta has gone and been replaced with this lovely little gun...I never thought the day would come when I would bid the Big B farewell but that is how it is...I am now officially a member of the Y Banger club...side by side, 20g...just got to sort the spreads etc and dog and I will go and do some fossicking for feathers...thanks to @Pointer for information on ammo...

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Thats what I was thinking, there is somthing "just right" about hunting over a dog with a SxS, I don't have one but one day there might be one in the safe

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

Wow nice wood for what I thought was a cheapie?

What did that set you back Eeebs if I may be so bold?

More of an over under guy myself but I guess just because that is what I had to use as a kid.

Ah it is not a cheapie then (rossie and other pieces of crap) but probably a decent gun?

I used a lamber?( probably spelled wrong) all those years ago, shot well with it too till I had a go at clays...shot well couldnt talk at the end of it my cheek was so swollen

EeBees -bit of a SxS lover meself. The first gun I ever owned was a mitchell l2G "gameking"-that was early70s
due to various personal reasons I left my beloved westcoast and moved "over the hill" in that process i sold the gun for $110.00 not bad as i paid lil brother $100.00 for it.

often over the years my mind drifted back to that gun and the bloody fun i had with it.I longed for it back in my cabinet .Bugger me the model "ERA gameking"came up on TM some 18months ago and at $150 had my wish come true. Ive had it out on pigeons and ya right -theres nowt as sweet as bringing it to the shoulder lookin down the rib and bingo "another one bites the dust."with trap loads its such a joy to shoot!
shes a plain jane is my wee lass but when she sings by hell she sings!
BTW -your one just oozes class.
