Yeah I have got then within a k quite a few times but find myself around 10k off usually, been really rough last few days, very good bite today, speaking of which, saw one swimming around with a well chewed up tail

    Awesome.

Trolling, jigging, swimming live baits - what's the best way to target them here?

    Must give it a go.

You can get them trolling but I prefer casting stick baits at them, had a few chasing high speed jigs today but water is too shallow to be able to really work them properly

Has anybody been out looking for Kingfish around Banks Peninsula this season?

I was out on Thursday and had one solid hook up on a stick bait (big thanks to distant stalker for the ‘how to’ advice!) and saw another fish stalking the current lines. First fish I have seen this season.

    How are others doing?
