    Christmas for big kids

    Living in Canterbury Christmas gives us the opportunity to get over the Bach and have a go at some snapper off the beach, throw in a 10 day fishing comp and a 5 yr old who's at least as keen to get outdoors as me and I had the perfect excuse for the the entertainment prevention officer to fish lots, to be fair the wife loves the beach as much as me and we also took the opportunity a couple of times to sneak out and fish a the odd late tide with a few drinks and a fire to bag a couple of rig, a few pics of our antics.....

    We had to leave a few to leave a few days before prize giving but he managed to hang on for 4 junior prizes and I got 2 in the open not that they were important compared to watching him battle with surcaster and fish and how proud he was taking his fish to the weigh ins, some bloody good feeds for everyone too!

    No worries R93, nothing flash all snapper came on simple squid, with rig to crab or prawn what was weird was only 2 spiny dogs all week
