We loaded up and headed to South Beach Wanganui on saturday to set up for an overnighter on the beach. We set the Kontiki out 4 times, 1 was a tangle around the reel so had to abort, 2nd must of been buggered batteries and only just made it out 350meters. 3rd and 4th went out ok and only got 1 tiny Gurnard and a crab. Surf Casting on Sunday didnt produce a fish for me, others in the group caught hearings and a tiny shark but no prize winners. I won a spot prize wow
