    first time cana fishing info please

    hi guys we are heading down twizel way and thought why not give the canal a go. having never even fished fresh water what are the ins and out. only thing I can think of would be a licence ?

    We've caught fish there , never had them go mad yet ! But know for fact they can do ! As shearer says Google it . Malcolm Bell from complete angler has some stuff on his website . Using soft baits and jig heads in the current of the canals . The pams cooked shrimp is just as popular , with good success . Best adopt both methods
