Jigging Setup
The in laws have bought a new boat (its a farking nice one)after selling our old one and I'm after a jigging setup that is a bit better quality then my last one from Hunting and Fishing - I think they where the $130.00 set up - I wasn't happy with the reel as it would allow line to spool inside the reel and create a hellish birdnest.
Budget would be max $300.00 and I only need it for up to 10Kg fish? as it would pretty much only be used for trout or small snapper.

what about a soft bait type set up they will be more than capable for slow jigging
Shimano Saros 3000 Combo
or if you can fork out another $50 i love my Stradic best reels ever
Shimano Stadic 5000 Combo

another setup, ,like splashs combos nice and reliable aswell.rig up a Curado baitcaster onto a tcurve 6.5 and some 14lb fireline.if you Accidently:ORLY:entice a fish over ten kg youll still bring some pain on it.

Re: Jigging Setup
Nice guys Im thinking about a shimano caenan 100 on a 5"6' eclips rod with 7.5kg braid - I was going to try that fireline stuff

fireline is solid mate all comes down to your knots.I havnt tried the new crystle infused stuff they got out but if its fireline it will be good.pics of your combo once you set it up please next to a 11kg snapper would be nice ,not being picky:thumbsup:

i am a powerpro braid fan 4.5kg is my goto line it has all the hurt you need even with the stradic wound up, i have never felt even coming close to breaking off on a fish.
lighter line = more fish
