Lake Coleridge boat fishing

I'm wondering if there are any forum members in Canterbury who have experience boat fishing in Lake Coleridge.
Even better if they are good at it.

I have a new second hand 18' Wooldridge 130 HP outboard jet.
Its all set up with rod holders and a down rigger etc.
I'm a very experienced trout fisher, but really no experience at all with trout jigging and trolling.

But very keen to learn the ropes from someone who really knows what they are doing.

Opening weekend is out for me as is the weekend of 25th and 26th November.
But any other days in November could work for me including all week days.
I'm picking the week after opening might be one to target.

So anyone keen to spend a few days on the water with me please contact.
Have plenty good rods and reels but will need to get some more terminal tackle in hand.

Or post advice and helpful hints.

Have limited knowledge & experience but took my Daughter there , she got all here fish drifting and casting back into the shallows with soft baits (way more fun than trolling). Had some success trolling with a paravane (poor mans downrigger ) on the salmon . Most boats seem to troll around both ends & Ryton bay . With a downrigger I guess you would target the deeper drop offs .

It switches off in the middle of the day. Mornings and late afternoons to Evenings are best.
