Hi all,
Not having any bar crossing experience, Id love to fishing out Mayor Island off Taurang, I have a 5.8m senator but would rather not face a bar until I have done a bar crossing course.
What are my options for launching into the ocean nearby?

bowingtown can be a bit dodgy at time as can the kaituna cut, but as gibo said just go out the entrance sulphur point is the most popular boat ramp. 5.8 senator piece of cake. its 20 nautical miles from the mount to southeast bay at mayor island.
Or Tirua and its a touch closer to Mayor. Bar there is a pussycat
