Caught a rig off the front beach right in front of town when we stayed there. Heaps of locals around so just copy them. They were catching heaps of kahawai.

Yeah it’s good for kahawai. Usually 3/4 hour after the turn is a sweet spot for my wife n I.

Think the tide time was good for a Saturday arvo fish….

The locals get a lot of big snapper kite fishing off the beach.
The river mouth on the incoming tide should be the spot for kahawai if it's anything like the rivers further north.
