My first Marlin fishing adventure

Had my first crack at Marlin fishing over the weekend and loved every minute of it. Sure it was long but man when we had a strike it was all go and bloody exciting. The bugger didn't hook up properly nor did he come for a second crack but for the next six hours I was awaiting with tremendous anticipation. On the second day we again had a bit of excitement. Had a beauty jump maybe 10m behind the lures but this time wasn't keen enough for a bite and swam away flipping us off I reckon! Heard over the radio there was one landed on Saturday and also another one hooked on Sunday which was lost when it got tangled in the skippy line they had running. Hopefully I'll be able to get out again soon to have another crack before the seasons over. Reckon I'm hooked after that trip
