Has anyone been to Niue and can recommend a charter to use?
Has anyone been to Niue and can recommend a charter to use?
Being to the “rock” few years ago (7)
When we had our week on Niue , charters are pretty standard, all launch by crane at the same time ,
Heaps of banter and yarns amoungst the operators, sharing where they were going etc.
A whale encounter was considered a bonus.
Our operator confidently says this is a fishing trip not a whale watching tour …
We did a four hour trip past a number of FADs we had one solid run , and pretty much that was it. Until we got to the harbour and mother and calf rose out of the deep right beside the boat ..worth every cent what an experience!
6 boats out that day 3 fish landed .
Must have being one of those days.
Wonderful place , go to relax and enjoy .
Nil durum volenti !!
Personally this guys was excellent. Tried very hard to get us on the fish . Then dropped the price due to a lack of success .
It is a wonderful place 35 meters of reef the nothing.
Weather goes from flat as to raging over night. Just the luck of the draw
Oh and if you catch up with this noisy barstard tell him Joe rembers

A mate used Sea turtle charters last year and said he was good. We are going this year spearfishing
Their honey is supposed to be really good as well.
Thanks guys. I've been following both those charters on Facebook. I've heard that earplugs maybe needed with the roosters
I enquired about fishing there with a guy who knows the place and he reckons the fishing has really turned to shit.
So do some research with people who have been there recently.
Overkill is still dead.
Recently, I got a pushed channel from X, it `s Chinese guy `s story started from Papua New Guinea, spear fishing, diving to catch huge lobster, sea cumbers and mantis shrimps the size like our forearm. Catch and cook. I assume this guy is some sort of engineer because travel to there for people from China is hard, and China govt has a lots of project down there.
But the episode was great, same as his story in Africa and Indonesia. So he must a Engineer of some kind, project manager for port building etc. However, I heard in Papua New Guinea there are over 50% of islands have never been explored by human, if I do `t dislike tropical heat that much, maybe there is a good place for me and wife. Oh, I have seasick so....game over. No fun
So be it
