    I use a cast net. Easy to throw, now I know how and I can get a couple days bait in one throw near my burley trail.

    Kids love catching them using small hooks and squid or mussel for bait.
    They don't seem to work on snapper in the Marlborough sounds for some reason.
    Pillies or squid work best there for me.
