Preferred Yamaha outboard servicing person? Marlborough

It's time to get my outboard serviced. It starts well and goes great however as it's the first service since buying I want it given a good once over.
    2005 Yamaha 115hp 2 stroke saltwater series.
Who's the go to person in Marlborough for these 20 year old 2 strokes? They were super popular but getting older now. Is there a retired expert doing jobs from home? I suspect many new service techs are more familair with 4 strokes than these older 2 strokes. I'm near Havelock but will travel to Picton, Blenheim, Nelson, Kaikoura.

My son has the same motor on his boat. The 115 and 130 are pretty good from what I’ve heard. He has used the yammie dealer in Blenheim - younger fullas, but happy with their work.

Simon Wyatt - a very keen hunter and has been running his own business servicing outboards for a long time. I'll PM you his number.

I was at an emergency management expo in China yesterday and thought this was a chuckle.

There's quite a few YouTube review videos on those clones. Mixed reviews overall. Some engine issues, but to be fair some of problems are because the videos are "I'm an influencer, let's trash this" style videos. Search Fake Yamaha or Yamabisi.

My family and mates have used Don at Koromiko Marine for years.
He took a break for a while so we visited Marine & Outdoors, the guy on duty that day was pretty disdainful of our two stroke and tried to convince us to trade it on a brand new 4 stroke.
Needless to say we've never been back in there.

We wound up going to Seatec in Waikawa who did the servicing instead.

Grant at GP Engineering in Nelson or get on YouTube, it's a lot easier than what you think. Just give a supplier your model number and get a service kit of parts delivered

Talk to Giles at Aquaserv in Havelock pretty sure he can service most brands.

Pretty sure he did our Johnson 150 2 smoke for years.

He launches and retrieves my new boat and serviced the Merc no smoke on my old boat after the warranty timed out motor never missed a beat.

To maintain the warranty I use Seatec in waikawa atm cause they are an authorised or approved Merc service agent. At the end of the 5 years will get Giles to service that motor without hesitation.
