Nice setup, what make? Umming and ahhing between a cc and a hardtop for the next boat, thinking about cc with decent clears setup would be a solid compromise

FC Boats 560 Centre Console. I pretty much only do lure fishing, so perfect for that. It's a dry ride for a centre console, only ever had a few drops of water on me. That said, I pick my days. For something bigger with more shelter and access to the front of the boat, the walkaround style ticks those boxes.

Yeah they are generally getting bigger/more expensive though. Looking to keep around the 5.5 -5.7m mark, for gas bills and ease of towing etc.

Yes, I do think 5.6m is the sweet spot for towing and general handling, as well as fishing space and shelter. If you're a lure fisherman that fishes on the drift, go centre console. I doubt you'll get a drier ride than FC Boats, but I could be wrong. If you're a bait/burley guy and fish at anchor, go hardtop. Lots of good boats to choose from in that category.
