    Snapper Hunting

    Just got back from a Surfcasting trip to Hawkes Bay. Had hot sunny weather as they do up there. Sea was beautiful and the fish were biting. 4 of us caught 11 Snapper and 6 Gurnard aswell as a heap of Lemons. Unfortunatley a Southerly came and we headed home early.


    We had a bit of gear


    Sunset was a cracker


    This is my 4kg Snapper


    And a mates 8.5kg Monster

    Good effort there Ross, bloody good fish!

    Got two days private chartered fishing outer Mount Maunganui in a few weeks - hopefully I can bag my first snapper.

    Not much happening Shootm, fishing been getting worse over last month. Fish seem to have gone out wide ,
    just wonder if is the crap from the Rina starting to effect the inshore fishery.

    Caught a few latex gloves last weekend.
