Yip last time I got a fresh feed of those was when I went to whatipu beach for a surfcast out by the Nine pin can't beat fresh mussels not supermarket ones from the seafood bar, last time I had ones out of the seafood department of a supermarket that will remain nameless I was crook for three weeks with stomach cramps and the runs. Those mussels I saw where I went did not look like green lipped the shell was purplish to black in colour not the greenish colour that the greenlips have. Pink lip clams are only good if the hairy bit is removed first.
