TARARUA WATERS
TARARUA WATERS
Off to Paihiatua for a warrant and service for the Holden. Rain falling consistently and bloody warm when my fert rep picked me up after dropping the ute off.
We checked the Paihiatua bridge out first with the Mangatainoka River flowing clearly below.
Trout were seen on both sides of the bridge:)

The "One Fly" contest must be on soon as there were two Wellington fly fishos just pulled in as we were leaving and they mentioned it.
Next stop was the Mangahau River clean rocky river bed with only a few fish sighted. This is on the way over the "Paihiatua Track"

Nothing landed and back to pick up my ute then lunch at my fert reps house.Picked up necessary farm documents and discussed more on the troutless morning. They just weren't firing.:ORLY:
That is fishing. I thought I would give it one more crack before heading home. Set up at the bridge where we saw so many trout even a Southerner wouldn't be able to count them on their fingers and toes:D

I fished upstream and downstream of the bridge to no avail so I decided to tie my last articulated streamer on that a mate tied for me ages ago.
