Amazing fish. All of those kingys must have been absolute donkeys given that one didn't look much bigger...

Impressive seeing it pull that float underwater, regular legal kingys barely even pull the nose of the float under

@LOC that was a big float too. Definitely bigger than what most spearos are use in NZ.

that twin rubber roller gun is a serious piece of kit too, more of a bluewater marlin gun than a kingy gun.

he looked very calm and organised once he had it on too, slick moves with the shark clip and second float and a smooth transition to the second gun. i'd be hyperventilating and squealing like a little girl with that beast on the end of a spear...

bet if he weighed it earlier than 26 hours later it would have gone over 50kg, losing 300gm to dehydration would certainly be possible

any idea where it was shot @veitnamcam ? three kings???

It looks a lot like 3 kings to me but I have only ever seen it on tv.
I did see the shooter at three kings with matt watson on tv a few nights ago so Id say its a pretty safe bet.

The thing that would worry me is holding a large, bleeding fish that is struggling madly in an area that is bound to harbour a BIG mako or two.

There is that too but I would be more concerned about drowning than getting eaten.

Woo bloody hoo. What a rush that would have been.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
