    The suspension was fucked on the two i rode, made bumps where there were none and the throttle kept sticking.

    VC I will gladly teach you. It is a shit load of fun going flat out on a horse.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    I don't doubt that, however i like to have a physical mechanical connection with the go and whoa and left and right buttons.

    OK so putting it in motor bike terms, you can canter just like standing on the pegs on a trail bike. The stirrups are the pegs, your legs applying pressure are the accelerator and the reins are the handle bars. The only trick is to apply the brakes you need to sit down deep, push down on the stirrups and pull back on the reins. Oh and this is all really a bluff because the horse thinks you are stronger than it is. But you aren't as it is six hundred kilos and you are not so if it takes it into its mind to not do as you ask then you are pretty much stuffed.

    Alpine horse safaris ( lake sumner area) and mt lyford horse treks . Wicked country . I'd try them . Good luck

    My mate and me got horses going quite a few years ago , was the best thing we ever did . Got to go to some cracker high country stations on them . Once we did a few treks we where most welcome to come hunting with out the stupid horses .
